歯切れ感が優れ大果どりに適したキュウリ品種

[摘要]国内外のキュウリ14品種を用いて、歯切れ感を簡易に推定する方法を確立し、果重200〜350g前後で収穫しても歯切れ感が優れるキュウリ品種を選定した。
1 果重250g程度のキュウリ8品種の果実を用いて、貫入抵抗値および胎座部割合と歯 切れ感との関係を検討した結果、果肉貫入抵抗値が大きく胎座部割合が低い品種が歯切 れ感評点が高かった。歯切れ感評点(Y)は果肉の貫入抵抗値(b,g)および胎座部 割合(c,%)を説明変数とした次式で表された。

2 雨よけ普通栽培および促成栽培で果重180〜350g前後の果実を調査した結果、果肉 貫入抵抗値が大きく胎座部割合が低い品種として、NEVADA’および‘KU−369 ’を選定した。

 Using fourteen foreign and domestic cucumber cultivars ,we established a simple method for estimating edible quality. We selected two superior edible quality cultivars when their fruits were harvested at a weight ranging approximately between 200 and 350g.
1. Using eight cultivars of cucumber fruits which weighed about 250g each, we analyzed the relationship between test scores for edible quality values of flesh puncture force readings and placenta ratios. There is a functional relationship between them. The function is as follows;

where Y is test scores for edible quality, b is flesh puncture force readings(g) and c is the placenta ratio(%).
2. We measured the 200-350g fruits which were harvested both in a normal greenhouse culture and in forcing culture. 'NEVADA' and 'KU-369' were found to have high values for flesh puncture force readings and low placenta ratios.
